Fax800®'s fax servers are hosted in a new 88,000 square foot Tier III colocation facility with unsurpassed power availability, cooling, security, dual NOC and network diversity:
Electrical Power
In the event of a brownout, blackout, or overvoltage our UPS provides battery back-up that aids in saving data by keeping our fax servers running without interruption, before switching over to a diesel generator. Our clean, cool, three-phase UPS power is supplied by APC's latest Silicon Series system.
Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning
Our facility provides High Volume Air Conditioning (HVAC) and backup required to cool our server cabinets and maintain the proper overall environment for our vital hardware and communications equipment.
Physical Security
Our fax servers are maintained in a facility which offers the most advanced security solution available and ensures confidence and trust. Our equipment is protected by a sophisticated closed-circuit television system, a long-term digital storage system for video surveillance, and a state-of-the-art bio-metric scanner access and security.
Fire Supression
A state-of-the-art FM-200 fire-suppression system is designed to extinguish a fire in ten seconds or less. It uses a clean, odorless gas that leaves no residue and will not short out our fax servers, or damage data files and software. (Other systems using water, foam, or chemicals can be as destructive as the fire itself).
FM-200 physically cools the fire at the molecular level, removing heat energy from the fire to the point that combustion can no longer be sustained. The gas is removed from the affected area by simple ventilation, allowing regular operations to continue in a relatively short period.
